We shortened our podcast in order to tune in to the Democratic Presidential candidates debate. What we did cover includes:
Legal Commentary: We don't do it that often, but Warren Jett's conviction, and Phil Spector's mistrial got our attention. We also turn to Michael Vick's new state indictment (and positive marijuana screen), Sen. Larry Craig's hearing on his motion to withdraw his guilty plea, and the U.S. Supreme Court's decision to decide the fate of lethal injection.
It's All Over But the Cryin': We're back to the change in New Orleans, focusing on New Orleans Loyola Law School Professor Bill Quigley's "Tightening the Noose Around New Orleans", posted in Tuesday's
www.counterpunch.org. According to Quigley, between HUD and local governmental entities, a noose is closing around housing opportunities of New Orleans Africal American renters displaced by Katrina, and many will become homeless as they are evicted from their 240 square foot FEMA trailers. Does anyone care? Listen up!
We plan to be back Monday, October 1. Until then, stay alert. Email us. Buy something from our little store. And tell your friends about us!
