The Axis Shifts As The World Turns

  Listen

We lied. Pure and simple. That would be when it was suggested on Monday that we would find something to talk about other than politics. Not yet, apparently. So bear with us one more time.

Election Comments from Far and Farther: We share some emails from Canada, England and California, as well as a postcard from Arkansas and conversations with people a little closer. Fun!

Perspective On This Momentous Occasion: After sorting through dozens, we settled on sharing the following: John F. Harris and Jim Vandehei's "The Obama Revolution", published in Politico, CNN's John Blake's "Obama victory caps struggles of previous generations", William Greider's "President Obama: This proud moment", published in The Nation, and Peggy Wallace Kennedy's "My father, George Wallace, and Barack Obama" published in www.politicalmusic.wordpress.com. All address the historical import as well as the generational differences evident in this election. We also touch on the topic of lynching with the assistance of www.digitalhistory  Don't miss this segment!

What's Next? Filling cabinet and other slots of course. We discuss that topic, along with the future of Joe Lieberman as noted in "Thursday is Lieberman's 'day of reckoning' " published in Raw Story, as well as the status of Governor Sarah Palin, Alaska Senator Ted Stevens and Louisiana Representative William Jefferson and others. A lively segment.

We'll be back. On Monday November 10 to be precise. Keep those emails coming! And tell a friend or three about us.
