Sea of Sameness

  Listen

Because Poor People are Fat They Can't be Hungry: This segment is a little reminder of how skilled the powers that be are in twisting the truth, resulting in contempt rather than sympathy for the poor. Let them eat broccoli indeed.

Who is Ron Paul Really? Thanks to our friend Janet for questioning our apparent enthusiasm for this Presidential candidate. Her research into issues Paul supports as evidenced by his voting record gives us the motivation to dig deeper. If you want to research, go to dneiwert.blogspot.com/2007/11/ron-pauls-record-in-congress.html.

Karl Rove Advises Obama: That's right. THE Rove writes a memo to Obama on How to Beat Hillary, published Sunday in the Financial Times. He makes five points which sound like Rove's playbook, but we wonder why? Listen up for details.

Speaking of Rove: We found John Wilke's "Head of Rove Inquiry in Hot Seat Himself", published in the Wall Street Journal to be rather interesting. Seems that Scott Bloch, in charge of Office of Special Counsel which is looking into whether Rove and other White House officials used government agencies to help re-elect Republicans in 2006, is being investigated by another agency as to why he hired Geeks on Call to erase all files on his personal computer last year. Ah, the plot thickens.....but where will it go? We are not optimistic.

Election Tilt through Breaking Up Electoral College in California: A must listen segment involving Johann Hari's "Republicans Form a New Plot to Rig the 2008 Election", published in the Seattle Post-Intelegencer Friday. Another example of what can happen while people doze, this referendum, if passed, could give 20 of the traditionally 54 democratic electoral votes to the republicans. This, in turn, could turn the entire election in favor of the GOP. Join us!

Where is Wolfie? You'll have to listen to find out, but according to Michael Isikoff's "An Old Face Surfaces" published Saturday in Newsweek, he's doing just fine, despite being run out of both the defense department and the World Bank. Loyalty has a handsome payoff, apparently.

If scheduling permits, we'll return Thursday December 6. In the meantime, visit our store and buy a gift for yourself or someone else. Thanks for your support.
